Habitat for Humanity

During June and July 2010 the Peterborough Professional Firefighters Association Partnered with Habitat for Humanity Peterborough to built a single family detached home. Local 169 of the IAFF took a little over two calendar months to build the house from footings to trim - a record build time for the Peterborough affiliate of Habitat. In fact there were less that 50 actual days on site. Firefighters provided  95% of the skill and labour.  Please take a look through our photo gallery of this worthwhile community project.
